We recently caught up with Chris for him to give us a rundown on his life so far in the industry, here is what he said!
Chris has some very exciting news coming soon.. so make sure to follow him on his socials to find out more! Also he is now a resident @Danse which means you can catch him playing at their events most of the time!! Chris hasn't started producing yet but I'm sure the confidence will come!
Q & A:
Question 1: When did the love and passion for music become a big thing in your life?
A: I’ve always loved music. I’ve always been fascinated by techno and my love for it has grown more and more over time. The uniqueness of techno differs from every other music genre and I’m in love with it.
Question 2: Favourite venue or favourite set you have to date?
A: The Kitchen @ the old New Guernica for sure. The venue was insane and I was so fortunate to play there.
Question 3: Do you have any upcoming exciting gigs you want to tell?
A: Yes I have a few very exciting gigs coming up in the near future, but unfortunately I cannot announce them as of yet.
Question 4: Do you have any upcoming track drops or music ideas for the future?
A: In the next couple of months I want to start producing my own Techno. I’ve got to a stage in my djing where i’m confident in my ability, and I want take the next step by producing my own tracks. The goal is to play a whole set with my own tracks.
Question 5: Do you have a go to fit for onstage? or do you mainly just wing it?
A: I wear whatever to be honest, but i’ve started to incorporate a more retro style to fit in to the retro techno and house that I primarily play at my gigs.
Question 6: Favourite all time tune?
A: Lovebirds - In the Shadows without a doubt. The track is a masterpiece
Second would have to be Adagio for Strings. Tiesto is a musical genius.
Question 7: Have you ever had a song that cleared the dancefloor?
A: Never, all my tracks are bops ;).
Question 8: Do you have a certain style you enjoy playing? or is the varitey wide?
A: Berlin Techno is my favourite by far, and that is what I usually play when I’m just mixing for fun - but I am very versatile with my music and I do enjoy playing House & Disco very much.
Question 9: Are you looking at doing any collabs with future DJ's/ Producers in the future?
A: Yes I'd love to collabrate with other DJ's in the future, but to be honest I've never really thought about it! Playing b2b's are so much fun & I'd definitely look into producing tracks with other DJ's, but as for who they are, I'm noy sure as of yet!
Question 10: What is one piece of advice you can give to people just starting in the industry?
A: Just keep practicing, trying new things and take inspiration from bigger DJs by watching their sets. There is so much that goes into Djing and every DJ has their own unique style, and if you can try and acquire many different styles then you will be able to please the crowd easier than you can imagine.
